Definition of fleet management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

As a definition of fleet management we can say that it is the “Administration and logistics of a fleet of vehicles or machines”. Fleet management is usually associated with truck fleets, but this includes all types of fleets, including maritime, since today it is possible to control and manage fleets of buses, vans, cars, machinery, motorcycles and mopeds and even boats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fleet management<\/strong> allows the optimization of a company’s resources, the improvement of routes, the control and saving of fuel and even the control of tasks. With the right fleet management software we can achieve global control of our fleet and have information for example of:<\/span><\/p>\n

Mileage:<\/strong> Know the distances traveled by each of the drivers, the route followed, the beginnings, the stops, as well as the duration of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Routes:<\/strong>It is possible to know the routes that our vehicles follow during the working day, to know the stops they have made and the duration of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ignition:<\/strong> it is possible to know if a vehicle is started or if it has the key in the contact.<\/span><\/p>\n

Planning:<\/strong> scheduling trips or associating them with vehicles in the future, allows us to have full control over availability.<\/span><\/p>\n

Digital tachograph:<\/strong> We may access the tachograph remotely and download the associated information files if requested by any authority, or to keep track.<\/span><\/p>\n

Type of driving performed by our drivers:<\/strong> With the data provided by telemetry, we can analyze and know if our drivers are making efficient use of the vehicle, or doing aggressive driving; sudden accelerations, turns, braking, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sensorization: <\/strong> Events such as the opening of the fuel tank, temperature control to control the cold chain or the opening of doors can be controlled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alarms:<\/strong> Knowing if a vehicle leaves a certain point, or enters or leaves an area is also possible<\/span><\/p>\n
